Safari Industries Secures 20-Year 'CARLTON' Brand License

Safari Industries (India) Limited has executed a licensing agreement with Carlton Retail Private Limited (CRL) for exclusive use of the "CARLTON" brand under Class 18, covering products including luggage in India.

The deal grants Safari rights to leverage the brand with no shareholding in CRL and no special rights like director appointments, share subscription priorities, or capital structure restrictions.

Key Financial Terms

Duration: 20 years, renewable for another 20 years at Safari's discretion.

License Fees: ₹45 lakh or 5% of total net sales per license year, whichever is higher, payable annually upon completion.

Security Deposit: Interest-free refundable ₹99.50 crore, disbursed in tranches over a specified period per agreement conditions.

This strategic licensing bolsters Safari's portfolio expansion in the competitive luggage market.
