Tahmar Enterprises Ltd receives renewal consent to operate 45 KLPD distillery

The manufacturing operations of M/s. Tahmar Enterprises Limited at its plant located at Beradwadi, Bhadgaon, Taluka Gadhinglaj, District Kolhapur, Maharashtra have remained temporarily shut since July 2025.

The said shutdown was undertaken pursuant to certain interim directions issued by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), Kolhapur, wherein the Company was required to carry out specific technical and environmental modifications as a prerequisite for renewal/grant of Consent to Operate (CTO) under the applicable provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.

In strict compliance with the directions and conditions prescribed by the MPCB, the Company has:

- Undertaken and completed all the stipulated modifications and improvements in its pollution control systems and infrastructure;

- Submitted all requisite applications, documents, compliance reports, and undertakings within the timelines prescribed by the MPCB; and

- Fully complied with all interim directions and environmental safeguards as communicated by the regulatory authority.

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board has granted the renewal Consent to Operate (CTO) to the Company vide its order dated 05 January 2026, for the operation of the 45 KLPD Grain Based Distillery and Bottling Plant (Blending & Bottling Unit). The said Consent to Operate is valid up to 31st August 2029, subject to compliance with the terms and conditions stipulated therein.

With the receipt of the aforesaid Consent to Operate, the Company is fully prepared to resume its manufacturing operations, and the same shall be recommenced in a phased and orderly manner, while continuing to adhere to all applicable environmental, statutory, and regulatory norms.
