Fire incident at PBM Polytex Limited's Petlad manufacturing unit

An incident of fire that occurred at PBM Polytex Limited's Petlad manufacturing unit on 17th August 2025 at approximately 10:40 AM.

Preliminary assessment indicates that the fire was caused due to an electrical fault, resulting in damage to some of the main electrical cables that supply power to the production machinery. Consequently, production activities at the unit have come to a complete halt.

We also report that no harm has occurred to any personnel, and there has been no damage to machinery, raw materials, finished goods, or the building structure. The fire was swiftly contained, and all safety protocols were effectively followed.

While a detailed evaluation is currently underway, initial estimates suggest that restoration of production may take approximately 7 to 10 days. The Company is taking all necessary steps to expedite repairs and resume operations at the earliest.

Shares of PBM POLYTEX LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs. 70.88 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 71.00. The total number of shares traded during the day was 257 in over 7 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 73.16 and intraday low of 70.06. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 18116.00.
