Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Ltd to set up 9.74 MW DC Captive Solar Power Project

The Board of Directors of Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Ltd at their meeting held today on 11th June, 2025 have decided to set up a Captive Solar Power Project of 9.74 MW DC (7.20 MW AC) capacity in the land owned by our Company at Spinning unit II, Velvarkottai, Dindigul District, Tamilnadu. The total cost of the project is estimated to be around Rs.40 crores. The company is taking effective steps for implementation of the Project. The project is planned to be commissioned by end of October 2025.

The Power is one of the critical components of cost in a Spinning unit. The existing Captive Windmills of 23.40 MW capacity and 12 MW Solar power under group captive basis meet about 49% of total power requirement of our Company.

It is expected that the new Solar Project will generate around 1.50 crore units. With the implementation of this proposed project nearly 65% of the power consumption will be met through its own sources of the company.

Shares of Bannari Amman Spinning Mills Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 34.18 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 34.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 13522 in over 306 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 34.88 and intraday low of 33.86. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 465074.00.
