GPCB revokes closure order of Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd's Bhavnagar site for 3 months

Sumitomo Chemical India Limited had earlier announced accident at its Bhavnagar site in the Multi Product Plant producing two products and Gujarat Pollution Control Board ("GPCB") had issued Closure Order for the Company's Bhavnagar site.

GPCB has revoked the said Closure Order for 3 months subject to the Company fulfilling the stipulations specified in the Closure Order and complying with the undertaking given by it in the matter.

In view of the above, the Company has restarted production at its Bhavnagar Site.

Shares of Sumitomo Chemical India Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 437.50 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 450.40. The total number of shares traded during the day was 16042 in over 809 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 458.70 and intraday low of 432.45. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 7124220.00.
