Ashok Leyland allots 4785561 equity shares

Ashok Leyland Ltd has announced that the Board Committee at its meeting held on October 18, 2006, has allotted 47,85,561 shares of Re 1/- each on conversion of the above 3364 Notes.

Further the Company has informed that, taking into account the above allotment, the total issued and paid-up capital of the Company as on October 18, 2006 is Rs 131,46,86,140 consisting of 131,46,86,140 shares of Re 1 each.
