BPCL approves appointment of Independent Director

Pursuant to the communication by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India, vide letter dated January 31, 2017, the Board of Directorsof Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd has appointed Shri Vishal Vinod Sharma as Independent Director of the Company with effect from February 09, 2017 for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shares of BHARAT PETROLEUM CORPORATION LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.725.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 719.15. The total number of shares traded during the day was 277025 in over 3258 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 729.4 and intraday low of 720.65. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 200905088.
