Gail India appoints Shri RK Goel as Chariman of Ratnagiri Gas & Power Pvt Ltd

Gail India Ltd (GAIL) has announced that Shri R K Goel, Director (Finance) of the GAIL will be the new Chairman of Ratnagiri Gas & Power Pvt Ltd (RGPPL). Shri Goel will hold additional charge as Chairman of RGPPL which is a company promoted by the GAIL and NTPC for reviving and operating Power Plant and LNG Terminal at Dabhol, earlier owned by erstwhile Dabhol Power Company. This was decided in the 33rd Meeting of the Board of RGPPL held on September 21, 2007.

The stock was trading at Rs.372, up by Rs.21.60 or 6.16%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.378 and low of Rs.356.05.

The total traded quantity was 248110 compared to 2 week average of 199556.
