Eicher Motors Ltd's Chennai plants back to full production capacity

Due to heavy rains, and flooding in Chennai, both of Royal Enfield's production facilities in Thiruvottiyur and Oragadam were shut between the 1st and 6th of December 2015. We resumed production of motorcycles on December 7, 2015 with our manufacturing facilities operating at 50% of our installed capacity. Over the course of the last week our production rates improved steadily as our facilities, employees and suppliers recovered from the aftermath of the floods. As of Monday, the 14th of December, 2015, we are back to normal at our plants, and are running at 100% of our installed capacity at Royal Enfield.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and work in the best interest of our employees, customers, business partners and the larger eco-system in Chennai.

Shares of EICHER MOTORS LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.16330 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 16048.4. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3427 in over 1120 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 16340 and intraday low of 15993.45. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 55278521.
