Grasim Industries Q1 net profit at Rs.511.66 Crores

Grasim Industries Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 5116.60 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 3119.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 19292.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 25125.30 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Consolidated results are as follows: The Group has posted a net profit (after minority share) of Rs 6696.70 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 4352.50 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 32618.10 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 41642.70 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company has reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.55.80 for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.34.02 during quarter ended June 30, 2006.

The stock closed on Friday at Rs.2862, down by Rs.99.15 or 3.35%. The total traded quantity was 34531 compared to 2 week average of 50135. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.2950 and low of Rs.2835.
