ONGC Q1 net profit up at Rs.4610.53 Crores

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) has announced the following unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 46105.30 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 41189.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income (net of excise) has decreased from Rs 150227.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 145265.10 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company has reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.21.56 for the Quarter ending June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.28.89 for Quarter ending June 30, 2006.

The stock was trading at Rs.922.75, up by Rs.7.25 or 0.79%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.930 and low of Rs.907.70. The total traded quantity was 335186 compared to 2 week average of 149030.
