Asahi India Q1 net profit soars to Rs.20.72 Crores, up 316%

Asahi India Glass Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 207.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 49.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Revenue has increased from Rs 1736.50 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 2724.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Consolidated results are as follows: The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 200.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 55.40 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Revenue has increased from Rs 1750.50 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 2724.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company has reported an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs.1.3 for the Quarter ending June 30, 2007 compared to Rs.0.31 for Quarter ending June 30, 2006.

The stock was trading at Rs.103.65, down by Rs.6.35 or 5.77%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.113.35 and low of Rs.102.75. The total traded quantity was 215182 compared to 2 week average of 131894.
