Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd has announced that the Company has successfully implemented the MTNL's MPLS core in New Delhi. With the completion of this network, MTNL would be able to provide a unified platform to launch of its new services like 3G, IPTV and content networks. This network would also enable MTNL to provide VPN and Transparent LAN services to corporate customers in Delhi.
Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd has announced that it has successfully implemented the MTNL’s MPLS core in New Delhi.
With the completion of this network, MTNL would be able to provide a unified platform to launch of its new services like 3G, IPTV and content networks. This network would also enable MTNL to provide VPN and Transparent LAN services to corporate customers in Delhi.
MTNL’s MPLS service was officially launched in New Delhi on July 23, 2007, with dignitaries like Mr. R S P Sinha, CMD - MTNL, Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Director - Technical, MTNL, Ms. Anita Soni, Director - Finance, MTNL, Mr. A K Arora, Executive Director, MTNL - Delhi, Dr. Anand Agarwal, CEO & Director, of the Company, Mr. Rahul Sharma, Head - Integration & Managed Services Business, of the Company, Mr. Yan Kai Jung, CEO (India), Huawei attending the event.
Speaking at MTNL's MPLS launch event, Dr Anand Agarwal, CEO & Director - of the Company said, "Our association with MTNL goes back over two decades with Sterlite’s supply of our Fiber Optic Cables & Copper Telecom Cables.
