Raj Television to start uplinking through VSNL Teleport at Chennai

Raj Television Network Ltd has announced that with effect from July 23, 2007, the Company will start uplinking through VSNL Teleport at Chennai instead of the earlier uplinking from Bangkok.

This will enable the Company to telecast all programs live from its studios including News.

As a result of this shifting of the uplinking facilities from Bangkok to Chennai, the Company is expecting a substantial reduction in Operational Costs.

The stock closed the day at Rs.225, down by Rs.7.45 or 3.20%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.232 and low of Rs.220.85. The total traded quantity was 32634 compared to 2 week average of 18536.
