IndusInd Bank has announced that on July 13, 2007 the Bank has inaugurated its first branch in Silvassa. Shri. A K Sing - Collector Silvassa was the Chief Guest.
Speaking at the inauguration, Shri Bhaskar Ghose, MD & CEO, of the Bank said, "Although we are not the first of the new-generation private-sector banks to establish a branch in Silvassa, we expect to capitalise on our unique combination of technology and personalised service to make a difference in this flourishing town-just as we have in the other 15 locations in Gujarat where we have opened branches. We already specialise in meeting the banking needs of small-scale and medium-sized manufacturing units, as well as the trading community, and expect to extend the benefits of these skills to our customers in Silvassa. Our traditional expertise in truck financing - through the erstwhile Ashok Leyland Finance, now a part of our Bank - is already well-known."
The stock was trading at Rs.54.75, up by Rs.2.20 or 4.19%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.56.05 and low of Rs.52.20. The total traded quantity was 1345517 compared to 2 week average of 449951.
