Bank of Maharashtra allots 17,76,19,893 shares to Government of India

Pursuant to the Special Resolution passed by the shareholders of Bank of Maharashtra at the Extraordinary General Meeting held on December 09, 2013, the Board of Directors of the Bank, on December 20, 2013 has allotted 17,76,19,893 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each at Rs. 45.04 per share aggregating to Rs. 799,99,99,980.72, to the Government of India on preferential allotment basis.

Shares of Bank of Maharashtra was last trading BSE at Rs.35.95, down by Rs.0.50 or 1.37%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.37.40 and intraday low of Rs.35.85.

The total traded quantity was 2.07 lakh shares as compared to 2 week average of 0.94 lakh shares.
