Hindustan Motors Withdraws "Suspension of Work" at Uttarpara Unit

With reference to the earlier announcement dated April 23, 2007 regarding "Suspension of Work" at the Company's Uttarpara Plant, Hindustan Motors Ltd has announced that following the signing of a Memorandum of Settlement with some of the Unions of workers on 09, May 2007 the Company has been pleased to withdraw "Suspension of Work" declared on April 11, 2007 at Uttarpara Unit of the Company with effect from May 10, 2007.

The stock was trading at Rs.34.65, up by Rs.1.35 or 4.05%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.34.95 and low of Rs.34. The total traded quantity was 248021 compared to 2 week average of 403191.
