HCL Technologies Ltd has announced that, the Company, through its locally incorporated subsidiaries in Australia & New Zealand having presence for close to a decade, on May 04, 2007 announced continued Investment and expansion in this region with the opening of its subsidiary's newest office in Canberra.
HCL will be applying its expertise and leadership in the global IT sector and its successful business operations in Australia & New Zealand (collectively referred to as ANZ) to deliver world-class transformational services in the government sector and participate in the increasing public-private partnerships in this region.
"The government sector is an expanding and important part of our business in Asia Pacific region. We have been experiencing over 80% growth year on year in ANZ," says Somnath Mallick, President - HCL Asia Pacific.
"Based on our experience in other markets in Asia Pacific, we expect the growth from the government sector to contribute to our overall market position, supporting our leadership in the government, banking and finance, retail and consumer goods, telecommunications, media and entertainment, manufacturing, life sciences and utilities sectors."
The Canberra office will augment 600 plus staff of HCL Australia Services Pty Ltd and HCL (New Zealand) Ltd., (both wholly owned subsidiaries of HCL), who support customers across Australia and New Zealand, and will join its network of offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington.
HCL is also recruiting a number of high-quality business and finance graduates and post-graduates (MBA) in Australia and New Zealand. These graduates will receive training at the Company's headquarters in India and work in-house with HCL's customers in the finance, business and government sectors in ANZ.
HCL will be using key learning's from its engagements with governments in Asia for creating successful delivery of Technology & Business Process Solutions in ANZ. HCL Australia Services Pty Ltd is a government endorsed supplier and is already working with a number of government agencies in this region.
