Orchid Chemicals Q4 net profit at Rs.24.26 crores, declares 30% dividend

Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd has announced the results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2007. The Unaudited results for the Quarter ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 242.667 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 193.862 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 2408.536 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 2482.953 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.

The Audited results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 966.318 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 829.018 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 8900.937 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 9357.353 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The Audited consolidated results for the Year ended March 31, 2007: The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 785.964 million for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 573.002 million for the year ended March 31, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 9531.589 million for the year ended March 31, 2006 to Rs 9854.369 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.

The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on May 03, 2007, inter alia, has recommended a dividend of 30% (Rs 3/- per share) on the equity share of Rs 10/- each.
