Esri India introduces Cloud Based GIS Platform

Esri India (NIIT-GIS India), a joint venture between NIIT Technologies Ltd and Esri Inc., USA has launched ArcGIS Online (AGOL), a cloud based GIS platform. AGOL is a ground breaking platform which provides intuitive tools to create and publish maps and applications on demand for visualizing and sharing geospatial information.

AGOL provides open GIS capabilities to any user allowing access to any application, anywhere, anytime on any device. It facilitates sharing and use of geospatial content within groups of an organization, as well as between organizations and the public, providing a pervasive platform for services. This innovative platform will find use in many government programs such as public safety, health, utility, infrastructure and business applications like site suitability and location analytics. Individuals can benefit from improved citizen services.
