Emco Ltd enters into agreement with Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co. Ltd

Emco Limited has informed the Exchange that "Emco Limited" has entered into a Technical Assistance and Know-how agreement with Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co. Ltd. of china to manufacture diverse range of 400 kv Class Transformers. Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co. Ltd is the largest Transformer manufacturer in China and one of the largest Transformer manufactures in the world.

It has manufacturing capability to manufacture Transformers up to 1000 kV and has installed capacity up to 80,000 MVA p.a. It is registered on the Shanghai Stock Exchange with the registered capital of USD 47.77 million. Its sales for 2006 was over USD 400 million. It has 2000 employees. With this agreement.

EMCO will be able to cater to entire 400 Kv Class Transformer range in the country which are used by Power Grid, NTPC, NHPC and other large power generators and utilities in India".

The stock closed on Monday at Rs.777.05, up by Rs.1.65 or 0.21%. The total traded quantity was 4536 at an average price of Rs.778.59 resulting in a turnover of Rs.35.32 Lakhs. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.787.40 and low of Rs.775.
