Alstom-Bharat Forge JV gets NTPC order for its Nabinagar project

Alstom Bharat Forge Power Ltd. a joint venture between Bharat Forge Ltd and Alstom Power Holdings SA has received an order for the engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection and commissioning of 3x660 MW coal-fired, supercritical turbine generator islands (TGI) worth Rs.2251 crores (Euro 350 mn), from NTPC.

The TGI would be supplied to the upcoming power producing project at Nabinagar, Bihar, owned by Nabinagar Power Generating Company Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between NTPC and the Bihar State Electricity Board.

The Bharat Forge Ltd stock closed the day at Rs.217.25, down by Rs.6.65 or 2.97%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.223.85 and low of Rs.216.25.

The total traded quantity was 0.50 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 0.66 lakhs.
