Karnataka Bank terms take over by ICICI Bank as rumor

Karnataka Bank Ltd has clarified with reference to the news item appearing in a leading financial daily titled "ICICI Bank looks to acquire Karnataka Bank", that the Bank deny any such rumor as reported in the newspaper.

The bank denied the news item terming it as a rumor in a notification sent to the stock exchanges.

The Karnataka Bank Ltd stock was trading at Rs.122.20, up by Rs.1.40 or 1.16%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.127 and low of Rs.121.25.

The total traded quantity was 15.55 lakhs compared to 2 week average of 9.86 lakhs.
