India Scores Mammoth 370/4 against Bangladesh

The Indian Cricket Team scored 370 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 50 overs against Bangladesh in the first One-Day International Match of Cricket World Cup 2011.

Bangladesh won the toss and put India into bat. The Bangladesh Captain was wary of the due factor during the second innings. Indian Captain M S Dhoni also echoed the same view as that of his Bangladesh counterpart.

Virendar Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar gave India a perfect start and set a platform for the middle order to make a big score. Sehwag opened the World Cup with a Boundary (4 Runs) of the very first delivery. Sehwag went on to make a big score with 175 runs from 140 balls with 14 boundaries (4s) and 5 Sixes (6s).

Sachin Tendulkar was run out for 28 runs from 29 balls. Gautam Gambhir and Virendhar Sehwag put on 83 runs for the second wicket, before Gambhir was out for 39 from 39 balls with 3 boundaries (4s).

Virat Kohli joined Sehwag when the score was 152/2 and put on 202 runs for the third wicket before Sehwag was out bowled by Shakib Al Hasan for 175 runs. Yusuf Pathan made 8 from 10 balls before he was caught by Mushfiqur Rahim in Shafiul Islam's bowling off the last ball of the innings.

Virat Kohli was unbeaten on 100 from 83 balls with 8 boundaries (4s) and 2 Sixes (6s). India mustered only 16 runs from the last 3 overs.

For Bangladesh, Shafiul Islam, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah took 1 wicket each.
