Fire at one of Dishman Pharmaceuticals Raw Material Warehouses at Bavla

Dishman Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals Ltd has announced that there was a fire due to short circuit in one of the Raw Material Warehouses in the Bavla factory premises of the Company on August 25, 2006. The fire was brought under control in due course and there was no injury caused to any person. As per preliminary estimates, the value of stock / assets destroyed due to fire would be around Rs 100 to Rs 120 million. However, the company has full insurance cover available. Further, the warehouse is located at an isolated place in the complex and there is no impact whatsoever on the production and dispatches, which are continuing without any disruption.
