Ruchi Soya equity shareholders to approve Amalgamation and Arrangement

Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd has announced that pursuant to an Order made on February 05, 2010, the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Mumbai has directed that a meeting of the Equity Shareholders of the Company will be held on March 11, 2010 to consider and if thought fit, approve with or without modification(s), the proposed amalgamation and arrangement embodied in the Scheme of Amalgamation and Arrangement of Mac Oil Palm Ltd, the Transferor Company and Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd, the Applicant Company and their respective Shareholders ("the Scheme").

The stock closed the day at Rs.90.10, up by Rs.3.05 or 3.50%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.92.90 and low of Rs.87.95.

The total traded quantity was 13431743 compared to 2 week average of 2026348.
