Patel Engineering secures hydro project worth Rs 3180 mn

Patel Engineering Ltd has announced that the Company has bagged Loharinag Pala Hydro Electric Power Project [4x150 MW) : Head Race Tunnel Package worth Rs 3180 million from National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC). The project, to be completed in 38 months is situated on river Bhagirathi in Uttarkashi District of Uttaranchal about 195km from Rishikesh on NH108.

"Executing a hydro power project requires vast experience and expertise, and hence yields better margins. We are currently executing a large number of hydro power projects and will continue to focus on acquiring similar projects", said Sonal Patel Whole Time Director, of the Company.

Loharinag Pala Hydro Electric Power Project (4x150 MW) is a run-of-the river scheme to generate 1939 MU on 90% dependability. The Project comprises a 6m dia horse shoe shaped 13 km. long concrete lined Head Race Tunnel on the right bank of river which will be executed through 3 nos. of access adits using drill and blast technique.
