Disruption at Hydro Power plant of Madhya Bharat Power Corporation Ltd.

On 18.06.2026, one transmission tower of Sikkim Hydro Power Plant operated by Madhya Bharat Power Corporation Ltd. - subsidiary of Sarda Energy & Minerals Ltd, has collapsed due to heavy rains causing temporary shutdown of the hydro power plant.

The Company is in the process of assessing the damage caused and the time required to restore the operations. The resulting loss is covered under insurance.
