Latens to strengthen India presence

New Delhi - December 22, 2009: Latens, leader in software Conditional Access and Middleware for Pay TV, continues to grow and strengthen its presence in India. Since opening its new Research and Development facility in Hyderabad earlier this year, Latens has significantly increased its work force in India and continues to recruit.

Latens CAS is a standards compliant, downloadable solution offering Pay TV operators a more dynamic and secure anti-piracy strategy at a much lower cost than traditional card based systems. Built on open standards technology, Latens CAS gives operators greater freedom of choice and flexibility when choosing set top boxes to fir their business.

Approved by the major content owners to protect their premium content, Latens software CAS uses dynamically renewable technology which gives operators the confidence that their content and revenues are protected, while reducing operational expenditure (OPEX). In addition Latens CAS allows all operators to follow a business model that reflects regional requirements without the additional capital expenditure (CAPEX) imposed by smart cards.
