PPFAS Asset Management Pvt. Ltd. and Centre for Transforming India (CFTI) strengthened their long-term CSR partnership to transform rural education in Maharashtra. Over the last four years, this partnership has transformed the learning environment of more than ten remote Marathi-medium schools and provided basic facilities to over 2,500 students in Raigad district. This partnership further strengthens CFTI's mission of building equitable learning opportunities in the country while advancing PPFAS' commitment toward inclusive and sustainable development.
Through targeted interventions, schools that previously lacked basic infrastructure have now been equipped with 28 computers, science lab materials, sports equipment, safe and hygienic washrooms, upgraded seating, and ventilated classrooms. Programs like Shiksha Shakti have reached students from fishing and farming families, providing career-readiness tools, practical IT sessions, and hands-on science learning. Teachers report improved engagement and motivation, while students enjoy greater confidence, curiosity, and access to holistic education. This sustained effort advances SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Communities), fostering long-term transformation in rural Maharashtra.
During CFTI's student feedback survey, many children expressed how the upgraded facilities reshaped their learning experience. One such student, Vidhi Mandavkar, a Class 10 student from Murud, shared, "Attendance is up, curiosity is alive, and teachers are more motivated than ever. Our school toilets were in poor condition, causing embarrassment. With your help, we now have clean facilities that ensure dignity and comfort."
Shailendra Pandey, Chief Marketing Officer, PPFAS, "These classrooms have become spaces of opportunity and confidence for every child. At PPFAS, we view education as the most powerful driver of long-term change. Our partnership with CFTI allows us to ensure that rural students receive the tools and opportunities they deserve to shape a better future."
Mr. Amit Deshpande, Chief Operating Officer, CFTI, said, "Our partnership with PPFAS is creating a tangible, lasting impact for rural students." Further, he said, "Access to digital tools, safe classrooms, and hands-on learning is transforming their confidence, aspirations, and future opportunities. Today, CSR goes beyond funding; it's about enabling long-term change, equity, and hope. Collaborations like these showcase the possibility of purpose-driven organizations working together to empower children in rural communities. We are very proud to help build a stronger foundation for thousands of young learners."
Besides their support of CFTI-supported projects in educational infrastructure, digital access & holistic development, PPFAS has also developed an ongoing relationship with CFTI. This shows how much PPFAS believes in building resilient & future-ready communities & driving social change at the "grassroots level" for the benefit of future generations. In partnership, PPFAS & CFTI are both dedicated to enabling every child to achieve success in life, regardless of where they live, with the skills, respect, & opportunities required.
