Hon'ble High Courts, Madras & Calcutta sanctions Scheme of Arrangement of EIH

EIH Ltd has announced that the Madras High Court and the Calcutta High Court have sanctioned the Scheme of Arrangement for the transfer of The Oberoi Cecil Shimla and Trident Hilton Bhubaneswar from the Company to EIH Associated Hotels Ltd pursuant to Sections 391/394 of the Companies Act, 1956.

The filing of a Certified Copy of the Calcutta High Court with the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal being the jurisdictional Registrar of the transferor Company has been completed this December 22, 2006. A Certified Copy of the Order of the Madras High Court was filed with the Registrar of Companies, Tamil Nadu at Chennai being the jurisdictional Registrar of the transferee Company on December 11, 2006.

Consequently, the Scheme of Arrangement is effective from December 22, 2006 and has come into force from this date.

The Appointed Date is April 01, 2006.
