Beckons Industries Board to discuss fund raising proposal

Beckons Industries Ltd has announced that, pursuant to the resolution passed at the Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders of the Company held on September 30, 2006 a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on December 29, 2006 to discuss and decide the issues relating to the Issue of further capital on Rights Basis, appointing various agencies such as Lead Managers, Registrar to the Issue etc.

Further the Company has informed that, subject issue is being planned for the purpose of mobilizing funds in order to meet the requirement thereof for the purpose of setting up of Biodiesel Project which stands appraised by NABARD and State Bank of India.
