Voltas acquires 298211 shares of Rohini Industrial Electricals Ltd

Voltas Ltd has now announced with reference to the earlier annoucement dated September 04, 2008, that the Company has purchased 2,98,211 equity shares of Rohini Industrial Electricals Ltd (RIEL), a subsidiary of the Company, for a consideration Rs 23.56 crores. The Company's shareholding in RIEL stands increased from 51% to 67.33% of the equity capital of RIEL.

The Voltas stock closed the day at Rs.150.40, up by Rs.5.85 or 4.05%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.153.55 and low of Rs.140.50.

The total traded quantity was 862697 compared to 2 week average of 459874.
