SML Mahindra Limited (formerly SML Isuzu Limited), a prominent player in India's commercial vehicle segment, has announced its audited financial results for the quarter and full fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. Total Revenue from Operations: Grew to ₹2,837.92 crore, a 18.3% increase from the ₹2,398.99 crore recorded in FY25.

Net Profit for the Year: Surged to ₹159.75 crore, up from ₹121.67 crore in the previous year.

Total Comprehensive Income: Stood at ₹162.73 crore, marking a significant jump over the ₹120.23 crore achieved in FY25.

Earnings Per Share (EPS): Increased to ₹110.39, compared to ₹84.08 in the preceding fiscal.

Quarterly Momentum (Q4FY26)

The fourth quarter was a standout period for the company, characterized by high volume growth:

Revenue Surge: Quarterly revenue stood at ₹897.65 crore, representing a massive 66% sequential growth compared to the December quarter (₹539.27 crore) and a 16% rise over Q4FY25.

Profitability: Net profit for the quarter reached ₹54.20 crore, nearly tripling the ₹17.54 crore earned in the previous quarter.

Cost Analysis and Operational Efficiency

SML Mahindra managed its cost structure effectively during a period of scaling:

Material Costs: The cost of materials consumed for the year rose to ₹2,139.16 crore, in line with the increased production and sales volume.

Finance Costs: Successfully reduced to ₹20.74 crore for the year, down from ₹29.88 crore in FY25. This suggests effective debt management or better working capital cycles.

Employee Benefits: Increased moderately to ₹227.58 crore, reflecting workforce stability as the company ramps up output.

Growth Drivers

The name change to SML Mahindra Limited follows the deeper integration with the Mahindra ecosystem, leveraging broader distribution networks and procurement efficiencies. The growth in revenue is largely attributed to:

School & Staff Bus Segment: Continued recovery in institutional transport.

LTC (Light Commercial Trucks): Increased demand from the e-commerce and logistics sectors for last-mile delivery.

Export Markets: Growing footprint in neighboring regions and emerging markets.
