Tata Tea announces Q1 results

Tata Tea has announced the following Audited Results for the quarter ended June 30, 2006:
The Company has posted a Profit after Tax of Rs 445.60 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 434.10 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 2423.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 2655.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
The Unaudited Consolidated Results are as follows:
The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 800.70 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 863.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 7192.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 8063.70 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
