Core Projects receives Contracts from North Carolina & Jharkhand

Core Projects & Technologies Ltd has announced that the Department of Public Instruction, State of North Carolina, USA, has issued a Letter of Intent to the Company's subsidiary, Enterprise Computing Services Inc., USA, (ECS) for the continued, development and maintenance of the Comprehensive Exceptional Children Accountability System (CECAS) for a total value of Indian Rupees 303.60 million. The project is to be executed over a period of three years. This is in continuation of a INRs 230 million contract successfully executed by ECS on schedule in May 2006. CECAS facilitates student information for over 200,000 challenged students across school and district boundaries throughout the State.

In addition to North Carolina, ECS also has on-going contracts with the States of Georgia, Michigan, Maine and Florida.

Further the Company has informed that, the Company has made its first foray into the Domestic Education Sector by bagging a prestigious contract from the State Government of Jharkhand under the Sarva Sikhsa Abhiyan (SSA) Programme. The SSA is an ambitious initiative of the Government of India, whereby it is targeted that, by 2007 all children in India are enrolled to complete five years of primary schooling and by 2010 all children are enrolled to complete eight years of elementary schooling. The Company, with its IT background in the highly sophisticated Education Vertical in the USA, is ideally placed to assist the Government of India and the various State Governments to provide the IT support required in achieving the goals set under the SSA.
