Godavari Biorefineries Ltd granted patent in Japan

The Japanese Patent Office has granted patent, "5-HYDROXY1,4-NAPHTHALENEDIONE FOR USE IN THE TREATMENT OF CANCER" to Godavari Biorefineries Limited.

This patent covers a novel class of compounds that exhibit strong inhibitory effects on cancer and cancer stem cells, demonstrating significant efficacy against multiple types, including breast and prostate cancer.

Shares of Godavari Biorefineries Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 284.15 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 278.40. The total number of shares traded during the day was 20868 in over 563 trades.
