JSW Steel Commences Project Development of 13.2 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Paradeep, Odisha

JSW Steel today marked a significant milestone in its growth journey with the project commencement ceremony of its fully-owned greenfield Integrated Steel Plant at Paradeep, Odisha. The project represents one of the largest investments undertaken by the Company and underscores its long-term commitment to strengthening India's manufacturing capabilities while contributing to Odisha's industrial transformation.

The ceremony was graced by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, senior members of the Government of Odisha, including the Hon'ble Ministers for Industries and Steel, and JSW leadership led by Mr. Sajjan Jindal, Chairman & Managing Director, JSW Group.

The Paradeep Integrated Steel Plant will be developed in phases with a planned capacity of 13.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and an estimated investment of about ₹65,000 crore in phases. Spread across nearly 2,950 acres, the project is strategically located on Odisha's coastline, offering strong port connectivity, efficient access to raw materials and robust logistics infrastructure to serve both domestic and international markets.

As India's steel demand continues to grow alongside infrastructure development, urbanisation and manufacturing expansion, the project will play an important role in supporting the nation's industrial ambitions. The project has been master-planned with the long-term potential to expand capacity in the future, in line with market demand and JSW Steel's long-term growth strategy.

Shares of JSW Steel Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 1309.55 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1293.95. The total number of shares traded during the day was 97091 in over 5697 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1327.35 and intraday low of 1295.20. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 127365526.00.
