Rainbow Children's Medicare Limited (RCML), India's leading pediatric multi-specialty and perinatal care hospital chain, today announced the launch of two new facilities in Bengaluru, a 60-bed hospital in HRBR Layout and a dedicated IVF centre in Mahadevapura under its 'BirthRight by Rainbow' brand. With these additions, Rainbow now operates a network of ~600 beds across six hospitals, one outpatient clinic, and two dedicated fertility centers, further strengthening its position as the largest pediatric and perinatal care network in Bengaluru.
HRBR Hospital
The HRBR hospital, strategically located along the high-growth Outer Ring Road (Hennur) corridor, is positioned within a dense and rapidly expanding residential catchment in North Bengaluru. Its proximity to Manyata Tech Park, one of the city's largest employment hubs, places it at the centre of a large, young working population with rising demand for high-quality pediatric and obstetric care.
The 60-bed facility is designed to deliver comprehensive women and child healthcare services, including obstetrics and gynecology, neonatal and pediatric intensive care, 24x7 emergency services, and consultant-led specialty pediatric clinics. A highly qualified and experienced team of obstetricians and gynecologists, neonatologists, fertility specialists, and pediatricians have been onboard to ensure high standards of clinical care. The hospital is positioned to provide round-the-clock critical care while also catering to routine and preventive healthcare needs of the surrounding micro-market.
Designed as a spoke within RCML's Bengaluru hub-and-spoke network, the hospital complements the Marathahalli hub, which anchors the company's Bengaluru operations. This integrated model enables strong referral linkages, clinical standardization, and efficient utilization across the network.
Mahadevapura IVF Centre (Extension of Marathahalli Hub)
Strategically located in one of Bengaluru's largest and fastest-growing IT corridors, the Mahadevapura IVF centre is designed to serve a young, affluent, and aspirational urban demographic with rising fertility awareness and demand. The Mahadevapura-Outer Ring Road micro-market represents a high-potential yet relatively underserved catchment for specialized reproductive care, making it a compelling expansion opportunity.
This is one of the most advanced fertility centres in the country, spanning ~10,000 sq. ft. and led by one of the most reputed consultants and her experienced team. As a focused extension of RCML's Marathahalli hub, the centre is designed to deliver superior reproductive outcomes, offering a comprehensive suite of services across diagnostics, assisted reproduction, and complex fertility treatments.
The launch of the Mahadevapura IVF centre marks another milestone in RCML's ongoing scale-up of fertility services under the BirthRight by Rainbow platform. With a network of 15 IVF centres, the company continues to strengthen its leadership in fertility care, with Bengaluru emerging as a key growth engine alongside Hyderabad.
Commenting on the development, Dr. Ramesh Kancharla, Chairman and Managing Director, said: "We are pleased to expand our Bengaluru network with the launch of the HRBR hospital and the Mahadevapura IVF centre, further strengthening our presence in high-growth micro-markets. These additions enhance access to integrated pediatric, obstetric, and fertility services for a young and evolving urban population. Leveraging our huband-spoke model and the BirthRight by Rainbow platform, we continue to deliver consistent clinical outcomes with a strong focus on quality and specialization. This expansion reflects our disciplined approach to growth and commitment to long-term value creation."
