Bharat Coking Coal Limited Reports FY26 Production Performance

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has released its provisional monthly and annual production performance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. While the company saw a modest recovery in monthly production, the cumulative figures for the full financial year indicate a contraction compared to the previous period.

For the month of March 2026, BCCL produced 4.42 million tonnes (MT) of raw coal, reflecting a 2.0% increase over the 4.33 MT produced in March 2025. This monthly growth was primarily driven by the Opencast Mines, which saw a 2.9% rise in output, and a notable 17.5% jump in the production of Washed Coking Coal.

However, the cumulative performance for the full year (April 2025 - March 2026) tells a different story. Total Raw Coal production for the year stood at 35.52 MT, a 12.3% decrease from the 40.50 MT recorded in FY25. The company faced challenges in its underground mining operations, which saw a 29.2% annual decline, and experienced a 13.6% drop in overall offtake. Despite the annual dip in coking coal, the Non-Coking Coal segment showed resilience with a 13.0% annual growth, reaching 1.82 MT.

Shares of Bharat Coking Coal Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 32.08 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 29.94. The total number of shares traded during the day was 760013 in over 2593 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 32.28 and intraday low of 30.81. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 24068046.00.
