Oil India Limited (OIL), A Maharatna PSU and CSIR - Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) which has been identified as the Centre of Excellence for Critical Minerals under the National Critical Mineral Mission (NCMM) have entered into an MoU on 30th March 2026, to pursue joint Research & Development (R&D) projects in the field of critical minerals.
The MoU was signed by Director (Exploration & Development), OIL and Director, CSIR-IMMT in the presence of CMD, OIL and attended by Functional Directors, Senior officials of OIL and Senior Scientists of CSIR-IMMT.
The MoU would pave way for pursuing R&D activities in Critical Mineral domain as outlined in NCMM.
