HCLTech, a leading global technology company, announced the inclusion of three network automation RAN applications (rApp) in the rApp Directory by Ericsson, the catalog of commercially available rApps for the Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP). The additions expand HCLTech's contribution to open, standards-based RAN automation and empower global communication service providers to accelerate network automation with seamless discoverable solutions.
HCLTech's listed rApps include:
- Traffic Balancer rApp: Analyzes network conditions and redistributes traffic across available paths to minimize congestion and reduce latency
- Energy Optimizer rApp: Scales base station resources during low-traffic periods to improve energy efficiency without compromising service quality
- Network Slice Optimizer rApp: Allocates physical resource blocks to support multiple 5G network slices with distinct service-level requirements
