MEERA Industries Limited ("MEERA" or "the Company"), a leading Indian manufacturer of twisting machines and heat-setting machines, is pleased to inform its shareholders that it has secured a domestic order for the supply of a Filament Twister - Heavy Duty Tangential Belt Spindle Drive system, designed for manufacturing twisted polypropylene (PP) yarns used as PP sewing thread.
The ordered configuration is intended for industrial thread manufacturing serving end-use packaging segments such as FIBC bags, cement bags, fertilizer bags, and allied applications where consistent twist, strength, and process stability are critical.
The Company also expects structural demand tailwinds from the continued expansion of the domestic packaging ecosystem and improving export momentum. Recent and newly concluded trade frameworks-such as the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement and the recently concluded IndiaEU FTA negotiations, alongside the India-UK trade agreement are likely to support higher throughput requirements across packaging and industrial sewing thread value chains in the coming quarters.
MEERA's engineering focus on high-speed, high-twist spindle systems and robust build quality positions the Company to participate meaningfully in this growth, with solutions that improve productivity, reduce downtime, and deliver repeatable yarn quality for demanding industrial users.
"We appreciate the confidence placed in MEERA's technology for industrial PP sewing thread manufacturing. This order underscores our capability to deliver high-performance twisting solutions aligned to the evolving needs of packaging and industrial thread customers. We remain focused on execution excellence and timely deliveries, while continuing to invest in engineering improvements that enhance customer outcomes," said the Management of MEERA Industries Limited.
