Godavari Biorefineries Ltd receives ICC- K.V.Mariwala award

Godavari Biorefineries Limited has received ICC - K. V. Mariwala Award for Effective Chemical Industry Academia Partnership by the Indian Chemical Council.

Our technology converts biogenic CO₂ from ethanol fermentation into di-methyl ether (DME) using ICT's breakthrough single-step catalytic conversion process, which is more efficient and cost-effective than conventional methods.

DME is a clean fuel and versatile chemical feedstock, serving as a substitute for LPG and diesel while also supporting chemical synthesis applications.

The technology has been jointly developed by Godavari Biorefineries Ltd. (GBL) and the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, under the strong guidance of Prof. G. D. Yadav and the personal commitment of Mr. Samir Somaiya, CMD, GBL.

Lab-scale validation and lifecycle assessments confirm environmental and economic viability, with potential for negative carbon intensity, making this solution scalable, globally replicable, and impactful in closing the carbon loop against climate change.

Shares of Godavari Biorefineries Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 279.55 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 284.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 10989 in over 588 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 283.00 and intraday low of 277.55. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 3083403.00.
