Heritage Foods Rings in Festive Season on a Cheery Note

Heritage Foods, one of India's most respected dairy brands, today announced substantial price reductions across its product portfolio, passing on the entire benefits of the Government of India's recent GST rationalization to consumers ahead of the festive season.

Following the GST Council's landmark decision, effective September 22, 2025, Heritage Foods is passing on the entire benefit of the GST rate rationalisation on to the consumers and has reduced prices across multiple dairy categories. This consumer-first move ensures families across India can continue to enjoy their festive celebrations with high-quality dairy products at more affordable prices, stimulating significant incremental demand during the festive season. Delivering these savings directly to consumers by lowering prices across multiple dairy categories, this approach ensures families nationwide, including those in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, can enjoy premium dairy products, making their celebrations even more joyous and accessible.

"The GST rate rationalisation for India's dairy industry is both timely and a welcome move," said Brahmani Nara, Executive Director, Heritage Foods. "By easing the tax burden on staples like paneer, ghee, butter, and cheese, the Government has made it possible for us to pass on the entire benefit of GST rate rationalisation to our consumers. For us at Heritage, this isn't just about lower prices, it's about ensuring that the purity our products are known for becomes even more accessible to families across India. Dairy is central to every celebration, from festive sweets to daily meals, and with these reductions, the authentic taste and purity of dairy will bring added cheer to homes this season."

Under the revised pricing:

- Long shelf-life UHT milk: ₹3 per litre reduction (No price change for fresh milk as the category was exempted from GST since beginning)
- Ghee: ₹50 per litre reduction
- Butter & Cheese: ₹50 per kg reduction
- Paneer: ₹25 per kg reduction
- Ice cream: ₹35 off the 950 ml pack and ₹20 off the 700 ml pack

By extending these benefits, Heritage Foods reaffirms its commitment to providing value to consumers while strengthening the role of dairy in festive traditions. With products like ice cream, paneer, and ghee playing a central role in traditional recipes across regions, these reductions make festive celebrations more enjoyable and accessible. Heritage Foods also continues to ensure that its products are available through both retail and online channels, reaching consumers quickly. By combining accessibility, affordability, and quality, this move promises to bring added joy, warmth, and inclusivity to festive celebrations across the country.
