CWD Limited, a global IoT design house specializing in wireless technologies, is pleased to announce that its consortium with Digismart Network Private Limited, a global leader in Narrowband RF mesh networks, has received the Letter of Award from the Government of Goa - Electricity Department for the "Appointment of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Service Provider for Smart Prepaid Metering in India on DBFOOT basis."
The consortium's bid for this transformative project has been accepted by the Government of Goa, marking a significant milestone in advancing smart energy solutions in the region. The project aims to modernize the electricity metering infrastructure in Goa by deploying state-of-the-art smart prepaid meters powered by advanced IoT communication technologies.
CWD Limited will leverage its expertise in integrated IoT solutions to deliver innovative wireless communication modules for this project. Digismart Network will integrate, implement and deploy these solutions on the ground. Together, the consortium will deliver an end-to-end solution that enhances energy efficiency, improves service delivery, and promotes sustainability.
As per the tender, the volume of smart meters to be deployed and maintained is 9 lakh units. This collaboration underscores CWD's commitment to driving innovation in IoT and contributing to India's digital transformation initiatives.
