Hilton Metal Forging ltd has successfully Manufactured Railway Forged Wagon Wheelset. Railway Forged Wagon Wheelset has been duly inspected and approved by RITES. One Railway Forged Wagon Wheelset consists of 2 Forged wheels and 1 Forged Axle. Each Coach / Wagon has 4 Wagon wheelset. Hilton Metal Forging ltd will cater to growing demand of the Railways Wagon manufacturers to meet shortfall of Railways Wagon wheelset in India and replace imports from China. FY26 Hilton Metal Forging ltd has plans of manufacturing more than 3,000 Railway Forged Wagon Wheelset. FY27 plan to increase production to more than 12,000 Railway Forged Wagon Wheelset thus increasing the Railways business of Hilton Metal Forging ltd under "Make in India" initiative. Total installed capacity planned is 20,000 Railway Forged Wagon Wheelset / annum.

Every year mix of around 90,000 Freight wagons, passenger coaches, Locomotives come up for Periodic Maintenance at round 44 Railways workshop across India. Annual Demand for New Railway wagon wheel set is around 1,70,000 numbers and new wheels demand is around 2,50,000 numbers.
