Trent Ltd reappoints Mr. P Venkatesalu as CEO

The Board of Directors of Trent Ltd at their meeting held earlier today approved the re-appointment of Mr. P. Venkatesalu with the designation Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer for a term of three years with effect from 6th October 2021 on fresh terms of re-appointment and remuneration, subject to necessary approvals.

He has consequentially tendered his resignation as Chief Financial Officer. The Company shall appoint a Chief Financial Officer in due course.

Mr. P. Venkatesalu joined Tata Administrative Services in 2001 and was formerly with Tata Sons as a part of the group finance team. He joined the Company in 2008 and has been with the Company for 13 years and heads the Finance & Accounts, Legal and Secretarial Functions. He is also responsible for strategy and investment activities of the Company. He is also Director of many of the subsidiaries, Joint Venture company and associates of the Company.

Mr. Venkatesalu is not debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any order of the Securities and Exchange Board of India or any other such authority.

Shares of Trent Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs. 947.1 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 927.9. The total number of shares traded during the day was 101378 in over 4412 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 964 and intraday low of 921.25. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 96280480.
