The Board of directors of Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Limited at their meeting held today, Friday, 16th July, 2021 had considered and approved the installation of 5 MW Solar Power Plantat Gangaikondan, Tirunelveli District on leasehold lands at an estimated cost of Rs.30 crores for the purpose of captive consumption, which would help the company to reduce its dependence on non-renewable sources of energy.
The board also approved installation of new flour mill with a capacity of 1,20,000 MT per annum at Gangaikondan, Tirunelveli District at an estimated cost of Rs.50 crores. The new flour mill will increase the existing capacity at food division of the Company and help the Company to meet the additional market demand in future. The financing would be done through a combination of debt and internal accruals.
Shares of Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.71.9 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 69.9. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3940 in over 51 trades.
