Bajaj Auto Limited has announced the sales performance for the month of May 2021. The company has reported total sales of 271,862 units in May 2021 as against 127,128 units in May 2020, registering a growth of 114% YoY. The company clocked exports sales of 211,032 units during May 2021, 142% higher than 87,054 units in May 2020. The domestic sales increased 52% to 60,830 in May 2021 as against 40,074 units in May 2020.
The company has sold 240,554 units of two-wheelers during May 2021, as compared to 112,798 in May 2020, an increase of 113% YoY. Exports of motorcycles was 145% higher YoY at 180,212 in May 2021, as against 73,512 in May 2020. Whereas, the domestic sales of motorcycles increased 54% YoY to 60,342 units in May 2021 as compared to 39,286 units in May 2020.
Commercial Vehicles sales increased 118% YoY to 31,308 units in May 2021, as compared to 14,330 in May 2020. Exports of Commercial Vehicles was at 30,820 units in May 2021, as against 13,542 in May 2020. Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles dropped 38% in May 2021 to 488 units as compared to 788 units in May 2020.
